Kootenai Health

Kootenai Health provides a comprehensive range of medical services to patients in northern Idaho and throughout the Inland Northwest. The main campus is located in Coeur d’Alene and includes a 331-bed community-owned hospital. Kootenai Health is accredited by DNV and holds Magnet Designation for nursing excellence. Kootenai Health is regionally known for its programs in cardiac care, orthopedics, oncology, emergency services, women’s and children’s services and behavioral health.

Kootenai Health is a verified Trauma Center, recognized among the top 10 percent in the nation for cardiac surgery, and has received an “A” rating for Financial Stewardship. Kootenai Health was also named a Gallup Great Workplace award winner. Kootenai Health is a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, a national network of organizations that shares a commitment to better serving patients and their families. Through this relationship, Kootenai Health physicians have access to Mayo Clinic’s knowledge and expertise which allows many patients to avoid unnecessary travel for answers to complex medical questions.

In addition to the hospital, Kootenai Health offers outpatient care services through Kootenai Clinic, an expansive network of nearly 300 physicians and advanced practice providers working in more than 30 specialties throughout Kootenai County and the Inland Northwest.
