Join us for the 9th annual “Run for the Angels Fun Run and Family Day”(run, jog, or however you roll)! You can also join us VIRUTALLY! Our walk is to join together and remember all children who have died suddenly and unexpectedly, raise awareness of pregnancy, infant and child loss and provide a day to enjoy your family and friends. Proceeds benefit the emotional support programs of Northwest Infant Survival and SIDS Alliance.
To join virtually, register as you would if you were joining us in person and we will mail your shirts to you! We encourage you to post your photos on our Facebook page!
Be sure to arrive at noon and visit our sponsor booths between 12 PM and 2 pm. An emotional support area complete with stations where you can create a luminary will also be available at this time.
The silent auction will be online this year! This is a great way to support NISSA and bring home a fun auction item! We will email out link when it's available. If you would like to donate an auction item, email Sadie at sadie@nwsids.org
The fun run will start at 2:30 PM for registered participants. You can come down and walk the course (all or part) at your leisure. Our remembrance ceremony will be from 2-2:30 PM at the picnic shelter. We will also be streaming the ceremony so you can watch on Facebook too!
Runner registration and shirt/bag pick up is from 1-4 PM on Sunday, October 3rd at McEuen Park. Early check-in on SATURDAY has been canceled this year.
The Opening and Remembrance Ceremony begins promptly at 2:00 pm. We will be reading our children’s names. All children honored in previous years will automatically be added for this year. If you are joining us for the first time and would like your child’s name read and sign created for the run route, send an email to info@nwsids.org.
“Run for the Angels” 5K fun run/walk launches at the beautiful McEuen Park. It continues along the marked paved pathway to the turn-around sign located at the halfway point. Most of the route is on the Centennial Trail with views of beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene at your side. Bicycles and strollers are welcome on the trail. Have no fear, the trail will be clearly marked so you will not get lost. There are about 130 signs along the route with photos honoring our children.
Cancellation Policy: The Run for the Angels will proceed rain or shine. Cancellation will occur only in conditions deemed hazardous by the officials. No refunds will be given in the event of the event being cancelled. Registration fees will be considered a donation. If cancelled, a day will be arranged for pick up of shirts and bags.
