Event Description:
There are 200 elementary school children in the Rathdrum area that are returning to school on Mondays, malnourished and non-attentive in class. The State of Idaho does not have a program to feed these children on the weekends. They are on the school's free Breakfast/Lunch program during the school week. There is a program called Nutritional Backpack Program that currently helps all 200 children. This is an ongoing problem and each year the number of kids fluctuate.
The Rathdrum Lions Club packs bags for the Nutritional Backpack Program, and they could use your help!
